WHY THE MEMBERSHIP OF GS1 ALBANIA IS VOLUENTARY, BUT AT THE SAME TIME NECESSARY?
With the partnership of GS1 ALBANIA and the bar code location , the Albanian companies automatically are part of the international family of the EAN/UCC members, which they simplify the access in local and international trades. Actually some Albanian companies use bar code with the direct application in Brussels or in other neighbor countries.
With the using of bar code in their products, the companies also profits other facilities that contributes in the improvement of the work’ processes and increasing efficiency in work :

• the units are prepared for export, as a trade facility in the world, in those trades which have electronic scanner equipment
  
  
• the control’s improvement of delivery of goods to every sale’s registration
  
  
• the control’s improvement of production to stock registration which contributes in cost’s decrease
  
  
• additional information why goods are required ,where and when
  
  
• the reducing of administrative cost
  
  
• the reducing of errors in administration and delivery of products
  
  

The membership of GS1 ALBANIA and bar code receiving , become e necessary for all the Albanian companies because foreign market and in the future the Albanian one can not except the goods without the number and symbol.

b- Application

HOW YOU CAN OBTAIN A EAN/UCC BARCODE?
Membership in GS1 ALBANIA is in voluntary basis, according to this procedure:

• fill in the application
  
  
• the payment the entrance and membership quote
  
  
• singing up the contract for the rights and duties of both parts
  
  

Every new member must bring the following documents near the services office of
GS1 Albania.

• The court verdict for the registration in the commercial company’s register, or the court verdict when it is a society.
  
  
• VAT number if it is a commercial society
  
  
• The account number
  
  
• Fiscal code
  
  

After completing all these applications professional service of GS1 Albania will give the company’s prefix. According to the request, respectively the unit number which will be identified, the member can choose the EAN/UCC number with a capacity of the unit note from 100-100.000 bar code, for different units.
